About
BIO
Christian Vinten has been an accomplished pianist and keyboard player, supporting quite a few major Danish recording artists, throughout the last 20 years. Working from his studio in downtown Copenhagen, he has also written and produced music for commercial pop artists, tv-commercials, jingles for radio and much more.
Composing for film is a musical playground for me. Nothing beats working towards a common goal with the director, while still maintaining your creative freedom.
Recently entering the world of film scoring, Christian composed and produced the score for the Danish feature film “Checkered Ninja” (“Ternet Ninja”) peaking as the 5th best selling Danish feature film of all time. “Checkered Ninja” is now conquering countries all around the world, following up the massive succes in Denmark.
Skills
Composing
Composing for film is all about what best suits the picture and frames the plot. Close communication with the director and understanding the story, almost tends to make the music write itself.
Sound Design
Sound design is in my humble opinion the best way to spend studio time, when you’re not composing or producing. Creating your own original sampler instruments from random sounds you come across and creatively applying these to enhance your music, is a powerful tool to help define your own sound. I sample and create sounds from anything like fx a running car engine, old synthesizers, to a squeaking door.
Multi-instrumentalist
Picking up and playing different instruments will lead to composing different kinds of music. I’m primarily a piano player, but if I find myself getting stuck on the keys, other instruments will always provide instant inspiration.

Korg MS 20
When nothing else seems to do the job, this thing never fails. I use it for noise sounds, lead sounds, bass sounds.Since it’s a monophonic synth, sampling it to create unique polyphonic sounds is also a favorite.
